This is my 475th post, which looks like a lovely number around which to mark some sort of commemoration, or make some sort of moderate (or radical) change, especially with respect to the appearance of this engine of commentary & self-reflection. This is all very interesting, at least to me, because I feel moved to make such a change, but am rather attached to the look this blog as taken on ... I don't wish to change anything about the topics I cover-- I mean, what's the point of that? I have no real theme, nor am I committed to any sort of theory of blogging that would require revision; it's just a diary, after all but I am, nonetheless, intrigued by the motivation I have, upon noticing a nice, "round" number, to do something different, or to mark it, as it were, with something meaningful.
I've never set out to write like I used to in my previous blogs. I figure that I'm an adult & can express my self with more precision, more tact, in a less off-the-cuff manner, & especially with less attention-seeking angst than I used to. While I'm saying all of this I can find myself falling back into that old pattern ... Funny.
This is my 475th post. On Sunday I'm going to work on a new design - nothing too different I think, but maybe add a picture to my the title, or change a color-scheme ... I am utterly committed to Georgia font, I'll just remind you - that won't change.
Do me a favor & pardon my thinking out loud on this one.
